Obsidian Coral Bells is an evergreen herbaceous perennial with a clumping habit. The large, lobed rounded leaves that create a basal mound are dark purple to near black all season. Tiny creamy white bell-like flowers bloom on spikes in summer attracting butterflies. Best bloom in partial sun and moist well-drained soils.
MAINTENANCE NEEDS: Low maintenance. Potential issues include powdery mildew, rust, leaf spot, and frost heaving of roots if winter temperatures fluctuate widely. Will grow slowly in heavy shade.
