Size

Beacon Salmon Impatiens is a popular compact tropical annual used for bedding with whorls of green foliage that occasionally have a bronze-red cast.  The prolific bloom of large, flattened 5-petaled warm salmon flowers bloom from late spring through summer.  Grows best with morning sun and consistently moist and rich well-drained soil.  Tolerates full shade.  The Beacon series is extremely resistant to impatiens powdery mildew.

MAINTENANCE NEEDS: Medium Maintenance.  Water Regularly. Potential disease issues include impatiens necrotic spot virus, blights, and rots.  Potential pests are aphids, mealybugs, thrips, whitefly, slugs and snails.  Pinch back stems when young to encourage compact growth and new branching.
