Monrovia® Gyokuryu Japanese Cedar is a fast-growing conifer shrub with an irregular pyramidal habit. The soft needles are a dark green that does not bronze in winter. Prefers full sun and slightly acidic, moist, well-drained soil.
MAINTENANCE NEEDS: Low Maintenance. Tolerates light shade. Do not let soils dry out. Leaf blight and leaf spot can be occasional problems.
LANDSCAPE USES: Accents or Group Plantings, Borders, Wildlife Gardens, Woodland Garden, Rock Gardens, Urban Gardens, Hedges, and Containers.
